Before Installation

• Confirm that your selected suction cups or magnets are compatible with this mount.
• Verify that the intended surface is smooth, clean, structurally suitable, and large enough for the complete setup.
• Use magnetic mounts only on steel or on properly installed compatible steel base plates.
• Confirm that interior placement does not obstruct the driver’s view or interfere with airbags or vehicle controls.

Installing Optional Magnetic Base Plates

1. Thoroughly clean the flat mounting surface with alcohol.
2. If needed for improved adhesion, lightly scuff the surface. Note: scuffing will mark painted surfaces.
3. Remove the backing from the 3M VHB adhesive.
4. Press each steel plate firmly into place.
5. Allow the adhesive to cure before placing it under full load.

At room temperature, 3M VHB adhesive reaches approximately 50% of its ultimate bond strength after 20 minutes, 90% after 24 hours, and 100% after 72 hours.
