What’s Included

Steel base plates in your selected diameter and pack quantity, each with 3M VHB adhesive backing.

Magnets, mounts, Starlink Mini equipment, lights, antennas, and other accessories are not included.

Installation

1. Choose a clean, rigid, flat surface that is suitable for adhesive mounting.
2. Thoroughly clean the surface with alcohol and allow it to dry.
3. If appropriate, lightly scuff the surface for better adhesion. This will mar painted or finished surfaces.
4. Apply 3M Primer 94 and wait approximately five minutes, until tacky.
5. Remove the VHB backing and press each plate firmly into place.
6. Allow the adhesive to cure fully before attaching equipment or placing the plates under load.

At room temperature, the adhesive reaches approximately 50% bond strength after 20 minutes, 90% after 24 hours, and full bond strength after 72 hours.

Before You Order

• Confirm that your mount or accessory uses magnets.
• Measure the magnet diameter and select the appropriate plate size.
• Verify that the installation surface is flat, clean, rigid, and compatible with VHB adhesive.
• Confirm the surface finish can tolerate adhesive, primer, and any optional scuffing.
• For exterior or in-motion use, independently verify that the complete mounting system is appropriate for the equipment, speed, vibration, weather, and safety requirements involved.
